” The love of gardening is a seed that once sown never dies, but grows to enduring happiness that the love of gardening gives” – Gertrude Jekyll
I grow up seeing my grandmother fascinated to her garden. It was a small orchidarium built in-front of our house. Different varieties and colors of bloomed aerial ornamental plants were present. She allotted her pastime taking care of those lovely flowers.
Since I was a kid then, I already appreciated the flower beauty. I always wanted to come along with her every time she visits her garden. I was amazed whenever I saw new bloomed flowers and as a kid, my curiosity wonders…. I always keep asking questions about flowers were started.
Green Thumb! This is the gift for growing plants. And yes like my grandmother… it’s also in my blood! 😉
I started having my garden when I transferred to my own apartment way back 2008, succulents were my first love because it is easy to manage and ideal for small spaces. Then when I got married my mother in law gave us “welcome plant” as a presents for our new home, until it multiplies… Now I grow several varieties of plants including herbs, vegetable, and flowering plants like orchids too.
Gardening is a fun-filled and great bonding activity with my child especially when having dirt in hands, sprinkling of waters and beating the heat of the sunJ. It requires labor and attention that teaches to be patient and give us full of hope at the same time. It can be also stress reliever from the time, effort and a lot of care spending with…and when you see your plants growing well and successfully bloom; it gives satisfaction and sense of accomplishment.
Gardening makes me happy and it is a great feeling to have my garden appreciated by other people.
